Ownership

I counted them

you see

lots and lots of empty parking lots

cigarette butts and broken beer bottles

my only claim to material ownership:

a blanket that used to belong to the dog

    1. NO! It was difficult but I learned some good lessons while keeping warm under the dog’s blanket and one of those lessons was this: At least I HAVE a blanket. hugs

  1. this one is wonderful Val,
    magnificent actually….

i am not sure how many people can relate to it. so i thank again for my times on the road..
    and i absolutely L O V E it.

    1. You know Guy, you and I are more alike than you know. I have found that the more I acquire in material goods, the more bullshit attaches itself to me, complications etc. It’s an endless wheel of work to pay bills to be a slave to a faceless nameless millionaire. There is mental and emotional peace in not being on the treadmill and one day in about three years I’m jumping off it. I am so pleased you love this one, it made me very happy to read your words. 🙂

      1. Oh? Don’t be so certain of that Guy. In fact, the one certainty is that you can never be certain what I am thinking…but then again, one can never be certain what you are thinking either, hence the similarity. 🙂
