    1. You’re welcome Selma 🙂 I agree with you on all counts. I was checking out what she’s been up to since and apparently she’s a recluse, just walked away from everything to have a son and be out of the limelight. I think I understand her in this way but it sure would have been great to see what music she would have created all these years. Perhaps she has been writing all this time and has it stuffed away in a vault somewhere.

  1. I hope to not run into that kind of poet anytime soon…hehe, but, your kind is great.
Oh, yes, I remember Sweet Phoebe Snow. She sort of came on the scene following in the tracks of Carol King, Carley Simon, and Joanie Mitchel. I loved all of their work, as I do Phoebes.
    God Bless You

    1. Thank you Paul, Joni, Carly and Carol were all trailblazers for those who came after, and as you say, Phoebe’s music being sent out into this world for our joy was due to that pioneering work. I think the late sixties and the seventies produced so much amazing musical art that I could play two songs a day for a year and not even scratch the surface. I hope you visit again!

    Poets are criminally insane
    They wash the walls
    The blood on their hands
    Painting light with a shotgun

    They love the délicate flavour
    Of the genocide
    Those murderers of the night
    Writing pyromaniacs tags
    On empty beaches

    So please don’t forget
    To come unarmed
    In their bloody dreams

    1. Thanks Lew 🙂 I hope you come back again! I would like to visit your blog but the link didn’t work. I’ve been blogging since 2007 and it has been so good for my spirit, very enriching.
