Round Dance

Indian tacos and sweet grass

the setting sun a dying halo around you

as you blot out my radiant light

your braids wrapped snug and tight

the way you like them to shine

as you bullshit your way around the dancers

in and out shaking sober hands soberly

keeping your eight ball eyes on the prize

grinning like a rabid Anonymous Animal

about to pounce

on someone innocent and fragile

like the bird you crushed the day before

with your hollow heart and heavy boot
