A View

On this battlefield where friendly fire is as abundant as leaves on trees

I view the scarred and twisted mettle of my former self

the one I killed with fear and compromise

a peasant ambushed by the sophisticated monster

I mistook for something real

  1. I think we all compromise our ideals and morals at first and, hopefully, most of us realise what has happened as we mature… This is such an accurate way of portraying the suicide of our base self so that we can transcend what we were… LOVE it!
