Thrice the Mice

Thrice the Mice

all day long

taunting the tiger

who does nothing but yawn

go mourn in your corner

your rodent despair

you legends of nothing

so full of hot air

you like to sound clever

yet say nothing at all

genius is living

not dropping the ball

But the tiger is bored now

and walking away

it will eat you alive

if you get in its way

  1. I have met people who like to sound clever, but when you analyse what they have actually said it is just a lot of hot air! Very clever, Val. I like this one because there are lots of ways to interpret it!

    1. Thanks Denise πŸ™‚ Oh, these are the same people who need surgery for a hang nail, totally self absorbed and full of shit. They are so drunk on their own genius that they don’t recognize that the man or woman who wipes tables at the diner, cleans their homes or does their hair at the salon are probably brighter than they will ever be and with a better character. This is what happens when people assume (wrongly) that a university education is evidence of intelligence and critical thinking. All it means is that you could pay for the opportunity to earn a degree, not that you actually learned anything or were capable of appreciating the knowledge and information surrounding you. You know Denise, it is a sad fact that those in society with a natural questioning intellect can rarely afford to expand it in a university setting so they self educate. I am one of those people. πŸ™‚ When a university education becomes something we earn with our brains and not our wallet, then perhaps we will truly progress further and move beyond this incestuous academic dark age.

    1. LOL J. Oh, I think these mice can handle it and anyway, if a mouse picks a fight with a tiger he/she can expect to get eaten. It’s nature. πŸ˜‰
