Serpents and HoneyBees

Should I be  Bonnie to your Clyde?

and will you take me on a moonlight ride?

Beyond the border of the break of dawn

will you charm me

disarm me

slide your tongue around sweet lies

and honey flavoured nothings

laced with the half truths of who you wish you were

and want me to be

but darling surely even you can see

there is nothing wrong with reality

just be

and I’ll be

we may even figure it out

when serpents make friends with honeybees

    1. We’ve all met them haven’t we Denise? The slippery creatures who litter the streets of love with the broken hearts they leave behind. Thank you for knowing just what I meant here. 🙂
