Informational Base Ball

Baaaatter up!

It’s the bottom of the ninth

and the game is starting to getting all sweaty and tense

the bases are loaded

with information flying between two guys

waiting to get up at bat

they’re talking about how to outfox the pitcher

which is clearly impossible

because everybody who has a brain the size of a baseball

knows

the pitcher plans the game well in advance

based on the science of knowing each batter’s weakness

curve balls and speed balls are indeed beautiful to behold

but the pitcher has a secret weapon:

she already knows how the game is going to end

do you?

Hint: the pitcher is enjoying watching it all unfold and it involves a lot of confusion

    1. I think Brad, this version of baseball involves living with cockroaches and suffering then being brave enough to share it with others. Anything less puts the focus and courage required in question. That’s how you get to be the pitcher and I’m one helluva pitcher. Take another look at that kid in the photo Brad, she has seen it all and she’s not even nine. It costs to have a to have a good pitching arm my brutha, it cost steep.

    1. Well, I’m sure all my Acadienne and Quebecois brothers and sisters who love baseball would find this typical behavior predictable. Oh yeah, I just remembered Gilles-Marie, where DID that statue de la liberté come from anyway? 😉 Bam! home run just like dat!
