Opportune Mystic

Rivers and sisters and death masks worn by

A practiced artist of the con impervious to

Sleight of hand exposure as a

Peasant poison holy water bearer

Usurper of the power

Throne mesmerizer with the gimlet eye

Idolater who couldn’t see the forest

Nor the trees

  1. Hi val, excellent poem, starting by the title, it really depicts in a fantastic way the miserable person. Very creative use of words as well. I wish you a happy new year and all the best, take care M

  2. I am flying in few hours so not really here to dive into this one.
only read it briefly few times
but it does asks for more.
i hope i remember to comeback to it…

    1. I hope you do to Dhyan 🙂 Nothing like a little Rasputin to see the old year out and the new one in! I actually wrote this after reading that the frontman of Boney M died on the same day (Dec 29) as Rasputin and in the same city (St. Petersburg) which was very eerie considering Boney M immortalized Rasputin in song in the 1970’s. Could be a little reincarnation going on there perhaps? 😉 Have a good flight and trip Dhyan and enjoy your new year with wishes for you have an outstanding 2011

      1. That as totally weird and if that is not an example of reincarnation then nothing is Gabrielle! 🙂
