For All You Free Thinkers Out There…

who are writers and concerned about your work being misconstrued by a knuckle dragger, take a look at a wonderful post on Jessie Carty’s blog.  There is an accompanying video by Maureen Johnson, author of   The Bermudez Triangle.  Many important aspects of popular media and censorship are addressed here and I feel Jessie has made some interesting points.

    1. Jessie is a very clever writer and she has an eye for things many miss. I’m happy you have now discovered her as well. Thanks for appreciating those things that are often missed by others. hugs I hope all is well with you too my dear. Everything is splendid in my part the world. 🙂

  2. Thanks for the linkage 🙂
I hope a lot of people will click through and watch Maureen’s video. She is very well spoken on the issue and even has links to the lines that were highlighted as “objectionable” from the books!

    1. You are more than welcome jessie. That post was really important and I agree, Maureen articulates the situation perfectly, as did you. hugs 🙂

  3. Agreed. There will always be parents or people in authority who will act and I stress ACT like the good parent looking after their children, it’s got nothing to do with that…under the guise of being ‘a good, decent person’ people will ban things that never ever should be banned. It’s on their conscience.

    1. The road to hell is paved with good intentions, or so the old saying goes. You are right, many times a good decent person is a cover for what rots beneath. Thankfully, I don’t feel it’s possible anymore. The communication technology is everywhere and available to everyone therefore it’s impossible to stop information being passed between people. The internet is a curse but it’s also a blessing.

    1. You are most welcome Maxine! It seems censorship will always plague an artist, no matter what century or part of the world. Narrow minds keep appearing in each generation. I hope you had a good week away. 🙂
