Truman Capote: The Genius.

I thought you might like to take a look at an interview Truman gave many years ago.  It’s fascinating from a pop culture perspective, but more importantly, his remarks regarding the creative process are the fact within the world of fiction and it’s creation.  Truman was a class act and his gentlemanly composure during some insulting moments makes him shine.   It’s in two parts and I hope you have the patience to watch both.   They just don’t make them like Truman anymore and we are a poorer culture for it.  Enjoy.  🙂

  1. I just watched both videos. I wish Groucho would have shut up so we could have heard more of what Truman had to say. I love the part on not being able to teach creative writing in school. You’ve either got it or you don’t. Thanks for sharing this!

    1. You’re more than welcome Debbie. I agree, Groucho was an ego maniac on the loose. It’s true though, you can’t teach what is innate.
