The Continuous Unspoken

The martyrs at the shrine of lost love

bid bon voyage

to their friends aboard the ship of fools

as they embark on

the age old journey

of hearts gone astray

to find elusive gold

in the broken underworld

of hidden scars

To those who brave the chill

of unrequited sentiments

from icy touches

their arctic centres

freeze a dream

of those who would court angels

disguised as you and I

until the discourse becomes a torrid fire

from fragile embers long ago

    1. Thank you Amy. 🙂 for years I’ve avoided writing it like peasants avoided contact with the black plague and I’m not sure why.
